Busan Metropolitan City Infectious Disease Newsletter March | 2024 Free Vaccination by Life Cycle, The First Step to Protect My Family’s Health! Infectious Disease - Hepatitis B: Infant(1st-3rd ) - Tuberculosis: Infant(Once) - Diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough: Infant(DTaP 1st-4th),Age 4-6(DTaP 5th), Age 11-12(Tdap/Td 6th) - Polio: Infant(1st-3rd),Age 4-6(4th) - Haemophilus influenza Type b: Infant(1st-4th) - Pneumococcus: Infant(Protein conjugate vaccine 1st-4th), Age 65 or older(Polysaccharide vaccine, once) - Rotavirus: Infant(monovalent vaccine, 1st-2nd Pentavalent vaccine, 1st-3rd) - Measles, epidemic parotitis, rubella: Infant(1st), Age 4-6(2nd) - Chickenpox: Infant(Once) - Hepatitis A: Infant(1st-2nd) - Japanese encephalitis: Infant(Inactivated vaccine, 1st-3rd), Age 4-6(4th), Age 11-12(5th) - Human papilloma virus(HPV): Age 12-17(For female child 1st-2nd or 3rd) * Free for low-incomed 18-26 year-old women - Influenza: Infant(Two shots at first vaccination),Age 4-6(Every year), Age 11-12(Every year) Recommended vaccinations for adults (individual vaccination costs apply) - Influenza: once a year - Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap): If you have no previous vaccination history, get the first Tdap shot out of three times and then subsequent two shots of Td or Tdap every 10 years (for pregnant women, get Tdap at every pregnancy (between 27th and 36th weeks)) - Hepatitis A: twice (age 40 or older, get vaccination after getting antibody test) - Shingles: age 50 or older, once or twice COVID-19 and influenza vaccination - For seniors aged 60 or older, please don not forget to get vaccinations of COVID-19 and Influenza as you are at risk of hospitalization and death if infected.
